And giant bowls o’ Costco fruit.
Meghan will be doing a few guest posts for me!! Meghan and I have been besties since grade 1 (over 17 years ago!) and we’ve been living together for the past couple years. She’s an amazing baker (and awesome roommie) and will be posting some of her favourite recipes for my blog! She’s already been told her that her zucchini bread is a must, mostly just so I can eat the results
Meghan is also training for the 2009 New York Marathon and will let you guys know a little about what it’s like to go to from a recreational runner to a marathon runner! We’re both excited, she’s got lots of great things to share! So stay tuned for those future posts.
I am in much better spirits today. I unloaded a lot of stress yesterday and my outlook on things is a lot better today. Chris mentioned I might be suffering from a little S.A.D (that seasonal depression thing), which is a valid observation. I am going crazy being cooped up inside all the time. I’m not sure what winters are like in other parts of the north, but here in Atlantic Canada, they can be brutal. Not only did we get a lot of snowfall this year, but it’s been cold! However, it’s sunny today and supposed to go up to +7 C (44 F) which is enough to perk my spirits some
I celebrated by finally making protein pancakes for brekkie.

Just the basic batter with some sugar-free syrup. Yummm-y! Now I’m taking it easy, drinking some Cuban coffee in bed. I’ve got two things on the agenda for today: spin class at noon, then class from 2-10pm. Excited for spin, not so much for class!
See you tonight after class, have a great hump day!!!

Hi Meghan, nice to meet you. Any girl that buys produce in bulk at Costco holds a special place in my heart.
Can’t wait to hear more about your baking and running.
SAD – Gosh, I have problems with that here in Nashville, and I cannot even imagine what a Canadian winter would be like. Have you ever thought about taking vitamin D supplements? I took Liqui D3 drops all winter, and I truly think it helped.
Mmm, protein pancakes. It’s been a while since I’ve had some. Might just have those for brekkie tomorrow.
Enjoy spin and good luck with classes this evening!
Meghan’s creations look delicious!
About SAD–I definitely wouldn’t rule it out. When I first moved to Britain people warned me of it but I thought it wouldn’t affect me. Turns out, it has. I can’t believe what a difference I feel now that I am getting some sun! Hope you guys get some sun today!
